This penthouse was built in 1820. Unlike any other penthouses, which usually consist of a few rooms, the penthouse of Le Meridien is actually a complete house with 2 storeys. On the first level (which is located on the 21st floor of the hotel), there are two bedrooms, each with a bathroom and a whirlpool, a guests sitting room, a living room with flat screen TV, a dining room with 8 chairs, a “lesehan” dining room (traditional Javanese “sitting on the ground” dining style), a bar and a working desk. On the 2nd level, which is on the 22nd floor or the so-called Kudus Mezzanine is a master bedroom with separate sitting room and a spacious bathroom, a secretarial room, a meeting room, and a spacious chairman's office with a guest receiving area. On the outside of the mezzanine there is a butler room and a private lift which is only for this floor.
